Why?
This year, for my birthday, my parents and sister have offered me a (mostly) all-inclusive vacation to a place of my choosing! As a student and lover of art history, I chose Rome.
Because my sister has been before, she will guide me through this ancient and exquisite city with the help of her Italian friend whose name is (believe it or not) Fabio. I've also enlisted the aid of experts in the art history field and other friends who have already had the good fortune to travel to Italy.
I am perhaps most excited about simply soaking up a culture so different from my own. But aside from being relaxing and fascinating, though, this vacation will be sibling bonding time for me and my sister. We spend a lot of time together, but we currently live states apart. A week together is just what we need.
